Books, bundts and reading

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Fredonia Elementary School is thrilled to share that 27 students (six in August and 21 in September) have met their reading target of 400 minutes!

In collaboration with “Nothing Bundt Cakes” from St. George, Utah, the PTO initiated a challenge for students (and staff) to read for 400 minutes each month. Upon achieving this goal, “Nothing Bundt Cakes” rewards the student with a delightful “bundtlet” cake. After all, who can resist cake?

Additionally, this year the PTO has set an ambitious goal for students and staff to read a collective 550,000 minutes by the school year’s end. The PTO encourages families to read together with their students, participate in reading nights, and promote reading at home. With the community’s support, they are confident this objective is attainable!
