Congratulations to Kaylen Troutman - nominee for the Academy of Future Physicians, and chosen to sing the National Anthem at Congress of Future Medical Leaders!

Kaylen Troutman was nominated by one of her teachers to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, put on by the Academy of Future Physicians.

Troutman was one of 10,000 nominees nationwide to attend the conference. During the conference, the organizers sent out an email asking if any of the attendees would like to volunteer to sing the National Anthem to open events, so Kaylen’s mother Brooke Troutman responded with a video of Kaylen singing at a football game. Kaylen was chosen to sing the anthem, and did so well she was invited to sing at the congress’ closing ceremonies too; she chose My Wish by Rascal Flatts, which she performed in front of more than 10,000 people!

The congress was held at the University of Massachusetts, and was designed as a learning experience for future doctors, sharing medical experiences like surgery prep and patient interactions. Congratulations to Kaylen on this once in a lifetime opportunity.
