Establishing a theme and mission statement, “Thrive in ‘25,” the 14th annual Raising Kane Business Summit broke records in attendance and participation.

Kanab City Manager Kyler Ludwig spoke on coming together as a community and spent time one-on-one with anyone who had questions for the city.
Don Jennings with the Southern Utah News spoke again this year on the importance of newspapers, especially in communities like ours.
CEBA director Kelly Stowell MC’d the meeting and spearheads the annual event.
Pat Guerrero assisted event organization as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as presented for Best Friends Animal Society.
Attendance at the Summit this year was excellent, with over 200 attendees.
Mesozoic gave the attendees and presenters alike a rockin’ performance during the lunch break.
The event consisted of presentations on local businesses, keynote speakers and networking opportunities bookended by two catered meals and refreshments and scored by local rock band Mesozoic.
Representatives of local government offered economic updates, attendees heard from representatives of East Zion and other economic developments in the area.
Raising Kane is organized by the Center for Education, Business and the Arts, the Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce and Kane County. In a post on social media, the organizers called this year “the best RKBS ever,” with multiple sources confirming record-breaking attendance this year.
Participants also ran contacting and networking, including city representatives’ “Tell me anything” booth inviting locals to provide feedback for the city. Event organizers provided refreshments and swag at the event front desk.
