The Fredonia Town and the lifeguards have been working hard to get the pool ready for use this summer. The pool is open with the new manager, Mikelle Waters, in charge of the fun. Her first year as manager, Mikelle mentioned that it has been a little stressful figuring everything out, but it seems to be going well. Kids have been enjoying going swimming, so it must be a success!

The hours of the pool are currently 1 - 5 p.m. Swimming lessons will be right around the corner as they start the week of June 19 and go until June 30. It is a two-week session and might be the only session provided this summer. Ages three and up can get signed up and the cost is $30 for the first child and $25 for each additional child. Miss Tonya and Miss Lisa from the library will be teaching these lessons and they have been teaching lessons for over 30 years. They obviously have the experience and parents always seem happy with their kids’ results! If your kids aren’t signed up yet, hurry and get them in for the remainder of the lessons.
Meanwhile, if anyone needs to cool off during the hot summer, the Fredonia Pool is the place to be! The Lifeguards are friendly, and the pool has a great atmosphere for anyone to enjoy.
