In a recent letter addressed to the Kane County Road Crew and signed by the Garfield County Commission, Garfield County offered thanks to Kane County for assistance provided during the recent repair operations of the damaged Panguitch Lake Dam. The letter reads:

“On behalf of the Garfield County Commission and the Public Works Department, we extend our deepest gratitude for your invaluable assistance during the recent operation at Panguitch Lake Dam. Your swift response and dedication were crucial in helping us clean out the canals necessary to safely divert additional water from the dam.
“This urgent task was essential to lower the water level of Panguitch Lake rapidly to facilitate necessary repairs before the onset of spring runoff. We are particularly appreciative of your team’s willingness to work tirelessly over the weekend, demonstrating a commendable level of commitment and cooperation that went above and beyond normal expectations.
“Your expertise and hard work played a vital role in the success of this operation, ensuring the safety and well-being of our com communities. It is partnerships like these that enhance our capabilities and fortify our readiness to face challenges together.
