Kanab High School Freshman, Kenidee Glazier competed in the 2022 Nike Cross Regionals – Southwest division last weekend in Mesa, Arizona. The race has been held down in Arizona for almost 20 years and showcases the top high school runners from across five southwest states: Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada.
The meet hosts several different divisions of races including, small school, large school and championship divisions. While Glazier would have been a contender to win any of the small-large school divisions, she opted to compete in the Championship division, where she placed 44th in a field of 216 runners. There were 1,125 female runners total across all divisions, and Glazier’s time of 18:36.05 would have placed her 49th overall (and the ninth Freshman overall).
We would like to congratulate Kenidee in a truly outstanding debut cross country season! We can’t wait to watch and see what she does in the future.
