The Glendale Town Board met in the board chambers at the Glendale Town Hall on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Mayor Dan Spencer called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.
After unanimously approving minutes from the previous meeting and monthly expenses, the board addressed the regular agenda.
The first agenda item featured Kyler Nielsen from Jones and DeMille providing an update on the Master Water Plan, including improvements for the spring in Lydia’s Canyon. Nielsen stated that the master plan is “all but finished,” and will be ready for submission to the state after a few small remaining issues are addressed. Neilsen also noted that the town is in a good position to meet its water needs for the next 20 years, adding that the spring in Lydia’s Canyon’s need for a larger output pipe should prioritized.
The next item was an update from Joann Lamb about continued planning for the December 14 “Wreaths Across America” event to be held at the Glendale Cemetery, including a request for volunteers to help at the event. Interested individuals should visit the town website for more information.
The board next discussed the need for new metal roofing on the kiosk in the town cemetery. The project will require sixteen sheets of roofing and five roof caps at a cost of just over $800. Given that the structure may need to be moved in the spring, the board tabled the issue for now.
The last item on the agenda was the arrival of the new zoning regulations book recommended by the planning commission public hearing on July 12, 2023, with the mayor noting that the new book will put the town in compliance with the state. After reviewing the board will vote on adopting the new regulations document in December of this year.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:42 p.m. Glendale Town Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the town offices. Agendas and minutes can be found on the Utah Public Notice website utah.gov/pmn/. Information about Glendale Town can be found at glendaletown.org.
