Kanab Animal Assistance Program (KAAP) is a registered 501(C) (3) organization whose purpose is to raise money to help community members provide medical and surgical care for their pets.
Pets are often loved like family members. Sometimes the financial burden for pet health care can be overwhelming. KAAP was created to raise money to help offset some of the costs of veterinary care for families in Kanab and the surrounding areas.

Our main goals are to assist pet owners with the cost of spaying and neutering, assist those who care for community cats or other community animals and to help treat and keep sick or injured animals in their homes in emergency situations. However, because “life happens” we also assess need on a case by case basis. KAAP was created to help all species, both large and small animals as well as exotic pets.
KAAP was founded by Dr. Tara Timpson, Dr. Patti Patterson and Wendy Stanford who are now sitting board members. Dr. Timpson was the visionary here but the cap team solicited the help of several other hard working, smart and generous people who donated their time and expertise to get KAAP up and running. Josh Baird, Layne Dicker, Alisa Alexander and Liz Finch are a few of those who made KAAP possible. We are grateful to all who helped us along the way, and we are excited to give back to the community.
To help kick off our endeavor we would like to announce our very first fundraising Craft Show and Raffle. The event takes place on December 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Kanab City Library 374 N Main Street. Please join us this day in supporting this great cause!
Finally, as part of the Holiday Season, please consider a donation to KAAP to help your neighbors and local community.
