The Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce November luncheon was held at the Kanab Center in the Pinyon Room on November 14, at 11:30 a.m. More than 40 attendees showed up to hear Emily Bentley of the Kanab Museum and Kanab Heritage House speak about her work with our local museums and the importance of museums to communities.
After a delicious meal of chicken, rice, veggies, and salad provided by chamber member Honey’s Marketplace, Emily engaged the crowd with a thorough presentation that included some history, some artifacts, and some current events. It was clear that directing the community’s local museums is a labor of love for Bentley, who brings her experience and passion to the area’s unique local heritage. A tour of the Kanab Museum followed the presentation.
Businesses in attendance included: Adobe Realty, Best Friends Roadhouse & Mercantile, Burro Flats High Desert Lodge, Catori Canyon, Conmigo VR, Eagle Gate Title Company, East Zion Adventures, East Zion Realty, Kane County, My Zion Vacation, Stellar Vista Observatory, Town of Orderville, White Mountain Trading Post, Zion Family Homes and Zion Mountain Ranch.
Save the date for the chamber’s December 12 lunch at the Hampton Inn in Kanab, where Dr. Chris Healy of Utah Tech University will present on “HR Resources for Small Businesses.”
