As of July 1, the library will be fine free for items that are returned past the due date. Our library staff is so excited to serve you as you read this summer and we know everyone is busy with lots of things to remember. As you enjoy that sci-fi or romance novel, read through a book on the hiking trails you just have to get to, or spend your evening with an amazing movie we hope to make it a stress-free time.
Items will still have a two-week checkout and there may be those items in demand that need to be read as quickly as possible, there may be replacement costs if a book is lost or returned damaged but there will not be fees for returning you books a little late. We send out weekly emails to let you know if your items are due and also if someone may be waiting for one of them. Please let us know if we can help you with titles we may not have or concerns about your “Libby” account. We would also love to hear about your latest read “that you just couldn’t put down” or the “one that wasn’t what you thought it would be.” Also, we have increased the fee for those residences that live outside the city limits to twenty five dollars a year so come in and talk to us about these changes.
Our Summer Reading Program will continue through July, and we love seeing all of you as you pick your prize each week. Remember Storytime each Monday, and our exciting Water Party on July 31, at 10 a.m. Kanab City Library is fortunate to have the best patrons ever and we are excited to serve you as we all move forward. Happy summer and happy reading!
