Kanab Cross Country braves the heat and the hills at South Sevier Invitational

The KHS boys’ team, led by Tyson Brinkerhoff, took second overall against their toughest competition of the season so far, finishing just behind a very strong 3A Richfield team. Freshman Trey Castagno, senior Daxton Jones, sophomore, Austin Church and senior, Jackson Clark rounded out the top five for the Cowboys.

Kenidee Glazier had another phenomenal race, taking first place overall on the girls’ side. The freshman is now 2-0 in her high school career. The girls’ team, overall, showed several great improvements from last week.

We are so proud of the effort given on such a tough course, in 98-degree weather. It shows the improvements and that the hard work at practice is paying off. The Cowboys’ next race will be in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Sept. 14, where they will face off at the UHSAA Pre-State Meet against all divisions, 1A-6A.
