The Kanab High School Drill Team is not just about dazzling performances; they’re also about spreading joy and kindness in their community.

Prior to Easter, the Larriettes took on the task of filling 1000 Easter eggs for the Kanab City Easter egg hunt. Under the guidance of Coach Shellie Stewart, the Larriettes dedicated their class time to this meaningful endeavor, transforming their regular practice session into an egg-filling extravaganza. The team members stuffed each egg with an array of treats, from chocolates to gummies.
Coach Stewart expressed her pride in the team’s commitment stating, “It’s important to pause our busy lives, look around, and identify ways to help others. As members of such a great community who supports high school activities so well, we should follow that lead and look for ways to serve others.”
The Kanab High School Drill Team’s small act of kindness reflects the spirit of giving back instilled by KHS’s mission statement: Success by Learning, Doing, and Serving. Through their involvement in community service projects like the Easter egg hunt, students learn the importance of making a positive impact on the world around them. Way to represent, ladies!
