The Kane County GOP held their 2024 Hot Chocolate Social on Friday, December 27, at the Brown Box Bakeshop, from 3 - 5 p.m. The event was an informal gathering of Republican party members and supporters to catch-up on the holidays and chat about what’s ahead in 2025.
Spotted in the crowd with drinks and snacks from Brown Box’s menu, along with their guests, were Sheriff Tracy Glover, County Public Lands Director (and newly elected County School District Board member) Taylor Glover, County Commissioner Celeste Meyeres, Commissioner- elect Gwen Brown, Recorder-elect Isis Smith, Kane County Republican Party Secretary James Bermant, Kanab City Attorney Kent Burggraaf, City Councilman Boyd Corry, Kanab Chamber president Pat Guerrero, Kanab Chamber board member Nicholas Meyeres, Sylvia and Eric Sims from Stellar Vista Observatory, Jeff Yates from Farmers Insurance, David and Claudia Jones of Westwind Ranch and many more.
State Senator David Hinkins (R-26) was also in town for the event and spent his time speaking with local constituents. In a brief conversation with this reporter Hinkins mentioned that he truly enjoys visiting Kanab and relishes the beauty of the area.
