The Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce and Southern Utah News would like to invite all community members to attend the Kane County Primary Election Forum. The forum will take place on Monday, June 6, from 6:30 - 8:45 p.m., at the Kanab Middle School, located at 690 South Cowboy Way in Kanab.
During the forum community members will be able to hear from the Kane County Commission and Kane School Board District 4 candidates, as well as County Clerk/Auditor Karla Johnson and Sheriff Tracy Glover who are both running unopposed.
The Kane County Commission candidates are Michael East, Andy Gant, Patty Kubeja and Celeste Meyeres. The Kane School Board District 4 candidates are Marc Grow, LoRal Linton and Joshua Porter.
During this event, community members will hear from these candidates whose names are listed on the primary ballot. The format will be a traditional moderated Q&A session that allows for some debate between candidates. All participating candidates will be available before and after the election forum to meet and greet community members.
“I encourage all residents and Kanab business owners to get involved with the election process and become informed; your vote defines tomorrow,” expressed Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce President Pat Guerrero. Republican and Nonpartisan ballots will be mailed out between June 7 and 21. Please make sure your mailing address is correct to receive your ballot. You can register to vote by going to vote.utah.gov.
For more election information or assistance please call the Kane County Clerk/Auditor’s Office at 435-644-2458.
A second Election Forum also sponsored by the Kanab Area Chamber of Commerce and Southern Utah News will take place in the fall ahead of the November 8, 2022 General Election.
