The Kanab High School (KHS) cheerleaders decided to etch their way into KHS history this year and compete.

UHSAA recently adopted competitive cheer as one of its sports categories for school to compete in. The KHS Cheer squad competed at region in Delta, their first competition ever, and took away third place which qualified them for the state finals. The team ended up taking fifth at the state finals in January.
Coaches Heather Glover and Jessica Brown said, “We are so proud of this team and their hard work and love of Kanab. We had so much fun and learned a lot. We are excited about the bright future of KHS cheer and what’s to come!”
