The search continues for missing Page resident Dennis Dillinger, who has not been seen by family or friends since December 1, 2023. Witnesses placed Dillinger in Page early on that day, and later reports put him in the Kanab Family Dollar Store.
Dillinger, 54, was last seen wearing a black hat, dark blue jacket and tan pants, with some reports stating he had his dog traveling with him. The Missing Person report includes a description of Dillinger’s vehicle, a silver and grey 1991 Dodge Dakota truck with a metal cab topper with license plate YSA 3AN.
While Dillinger has experience hiking outdoors and traveling the remote wilds of the local area, his family’s report to the Page PD cited his behavior in this case as unusual due to the lack of communication and the lack of camping or travel equipment.
Page authorities are in coordination with Coconino and Kane County law enforcement and search and rescue efforts, with Page PD’s Lt. Ted Barnard as the contact person for local operations. Page and Coconino Search and Rescue state their operations are still ongoing. Per Lt. Barnard, reports from wireless services show Dillinger’s cell phone connecting to wireless towers in the southern Utah area on December 2.
The latest calls for help in locating Dillinger state he may have been heading for Lake Powell or Superstition Mountains.
