Motorcyclist struck and killed by RV just south of Utah/Arizona border

On December 5, 2024, emergency services were called to a collision between a motorcycle and an RV entering a parking lot south of the Utah/Ariz. border.



Per a report from the Fredonia Police Department, “It appears the motorcyclist attempted to pass the southbound RV as the RV turned East into the parking lot of The Border Store, just south of the Arizona/Utah border. The motorcyclist struck the driver-side door of the RV, resulting in serious injury to the rider. The motorcyclist later passed away as a result of his injuries.


“Fredonia Police Department wishes to extend heartfelt condolences to the family, and thank Kane County EMS, Kane County Sheriff’s Department, Kanab City Police, and Arizona DPS for their assistance.”


LifeFlight was called for emergency medical help, but eyewitnesses report the motorcyclist had likely died from his injuries before medical personnel were able to render aid. Law enforcement is still investigating the incident.
