Orderville appoints Susan Esplin to town board

The Orderville Town Board met at the town offices at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2024. Mayor Lyle Goulding and board members Marianne Leigh, Rory Hatch and Shaun Sharkey were in attendance, as were Town Clerk Carol Lamb and Town Treasurer Breanna Crofts.

The first item of business was the oath of office for newly appointed board member Susan Esplin. Town Clerk Carol Lamb administered the oath and Esplin joined the rest of the board for the meeting.


Next, minutes from the previous meeting and bills presented for payment were unanimously approved.


Regular agenda items one and two pertained to fitness pack tests for volunteer firefighters. The items were tabled for further review and discussion.



Next, Planning & Zoning recommended approval of the preliminary plat for Red Hollow Heights Phase 2, which was unanimously approved by the board. A conditional use permit for a C-2 Zone at 50 N 100 W for storage units and a laundromat were unanimously declined, with a recommendation that the applicant approach the adjuster for further work on the application.

Item five was a recommendation from Planning & Zoning to deny a conditional use permit zoned RRC at 668 W 1000 S. The board unanimously concurred.


The next eight items on the agenda were regarding conditional use permits for the use of a future home or casita as a vacation rental. Planning & Zoning recommended approving permits for Lot 8 Quarter Circle H Ranch, 368 W Pinyon Dr, Lot 26 Quarter Circle H Ranch, Lot 53 Quarter Circle H Ranch, 585 W Cedar Dr, Lot 52 Quarter Circle H Ranch, 375 W White Cliffs Dr and Lot 73 Quarter Circle H Ranch. The board unanimously approved.
