Week 10 was a doozy, we had a Saints upset, a Holy War determined by an official (Easy Zoobies, it’s not a dig at your Cougs), a hometown team in the ‘ship and a new weekly winner. Buckle up y’all, this one is going to be good.
Seven Pigskinners picked 11 out of 15 games correctly this week, and things trickled down to the tiebreaker yet again. (Anyone sensing a theme here? Some of you better start boning up on your math skills).
April Riddle, John Bacialli, Pat Blankenship, Kelly Brown, Neal Brown, Alivia Swapp and Aniesha Beal all got the magic number 11 correct. It was Aneisha’s tiebreaker guess that clinched her the title, being only 15 points off.
This was only the fifth week that Aneisha has played and she came through in style! While she did guess against our hometown Cowboys, (so did most of you, don’t go pointing any fingers), she did guess the Panthers and UCLA victories correct to help her on her way to victory.
Lane Sims and Don Corry were the only ones who picked the Patriots to beat the Bears, while Daniel Gilberg was the only person to predict the Saints beating the Falcons. (At least you beat Andrea at something Daniel, way to go!)
It was a big week for all our Y fans. Weather you lean Blue or Red, you can’t deny that was a crazy night on the gridiron! It’s a good thing the Y got the W, otherwise the week would have been a complete bust for Coby Glover, this week’s Mr. Irrelevant. Coby only managed a measly seven out of 15 correct and was the only player to fair so poorly. He probably is still riding the high of the Holy War outcome though, he doesn’t even care. (Ignorance really is bliss isn’t it?)
A welcome back is in order for Allison Bacialli! We missed you there for a bit Allison. And I have a question for John Hiscock. Did you copy Dennis’s tiebreaker guess from last week of 666 just to get your name in here, or are you, too, alluding to something (my inclination is to the latter)?
Week 11 is coming in hot and we wish all our players the best of luck! If you haven’t played yet, it’s not too late! There are still five weeks of prizes left to give out! Speaking of not playing yet, why is it, that none of our own Cowboy football coaches play our little pigskin game? Insider information won’t disqualify you from playing guys, send the SUN something!
Good luck to all in Week 11, and as always, a big thanks to our sponsors!
