Pastor Doug Hounshell and a group of volunteers were hard at work on Monday this week installing new cabinets in the fellowship hall of the new home of the Cliffview Chapel. The new facility is located near the entrance to the Kanab Creek Ranchos on Powell Drive in Kanab city.
“We broke ground to start building our new church facility on Sunday, May 15, 2022,” Pastor Hounshell said, “and we anticipate being in our new church building during Fall 2023 hopefully around mid-November. “We have been blessed with donations to build this new church facility and expect to continue to raise the funds to pay the remainder of the building costs.”
Pastor Hounshell also indicated that as nice as the facility is, “It’s not about the building, it is about the people, and we look forward to sharing it with the community.”
An important part of this new facility is the media center that will allow them to broadcast over a new FM channel. They expect to be able to cover local news and events as well as services from the Cliffview Chapel.
