Now entering Valley High School as a freshman, the current Miss Kane County Princess Jaylee Hoyt assumed the reins of responsibility for the continuation of her sister’s inaugural vision for a similar communitywide experience for the younger up-and-comers, which was successfully brought forth in the VHS Little Theater on the evening of August 1.

“Last year,” she explains, “Sheridyn Hoyt started the Little Miss Kane County Pageant, and this year, as part of my platform, I decided to continue it on. My platform was based on Confidence. I believe pageants are a great way for the younger generations to get more confidence and believe in themselves. I think that I’ve seen these girls grow so much over their presenting themselves on-stage and just being more themselves in the spotlight, you know. It’s a great opportunity for these girls to find their self-confidence.” This season’s winners Little Miss Liv Glazier and Mini Miss Sasha Shepherd, both from Kanab, performed lyrical dance routines.
The out-going Jaylee has a fervent hopeful expectation that the next Miss Kane County Princess, to be determined at the Pageant held at Kanab High School on August 7, will inspire the one selected to follow in her footsteps toward the third annual Little Miss Pageant.
