“Splash” fun at the Library

Summer has just gone too fast! The heat of July ended with a splash of water at the Kanab City library on Monday, July 31. We have had reading, crafts, seek-and-finds, kind acts, prizes and smiling faces in the library this summer. Families and adults have enjoyed good books and told us all about them too!

On Monday, at Storytime, we talked about all the different ways we see water, from the ice in our drinks, to the hint of a rainbow in the sky. Then we enjoyed the music and animation of a Sandra Boynton video, “When Pigs Fly” to remember we can do anything with hard work and imagination. Then came the water guns and water bombs to help us all cool off with a little fishing for sharks on the side. We are so grateful for the families who have supported Summer Reading this year. We were hoping for a thousand prizes to be given away this year so we could estimate how many hours of reading happened this summer. As we add up prizes and do a few drawings we will be sending our “Thanks” out for a great summer! Keep an eye out for our final numbers next week.
